Performance Engineering Work From Home Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities:

1. Use k6 for load testing, stress testing, and identifying bottlenecks
2. Analyze CPU, memory, database queries, and network usage to find performance bottlenecks and resolve them with code optimization, indexing, and resource management
3. Forecast scaling needs and ensure systems can handle increasing demand, recommending optimizations for Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL
4. Use Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch
5. Monitor systems and identify issues proactively
6. Automate performance tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. Implement automated scaling and cache management

Requirements:

1. Performance Testing: Proficient with k6, JMeter, or LoadRunner
2. Technologies: Strong knowledge of Rust, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, WebSockets
3. Troubleshooting: Expertise in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in code, databases, and real-time systems
4. Tools: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Docker, and Kubernetes
5. Languages: Rust, Python, SQL, Bash
6. Experience with Rust performance profiling
7. Familiarity with Elasticsearch scaling and WebSocket optimization
8. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and distributed systems
