We are seeking motivated psychology interns who are passionate about adolescent mental health and eager to contribute to our AI chatbot's development. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a practical setting while gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of psychology and technology. Successful candidates will assist our core team in research, content development, and the creation of chatbot responses, ensuring they are research-backed, engaging, and age-appropriate.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Research adolescent mental health issues, focusing on evidence-based interventions and resources to support various mental health needs
2. Assist in creating conversational scripts, coping strategies, and supportive responses for the chatbot, ensuring accuracy and relevance to adolescent users
3. Analyze user interactions with the chatbot to identify patterns and areas for improvement, supporting data-driven content updates
4. Collaborate closely with psychologists, developers, and designers to align chatbot responses with psychological standards and enhance user engagement
5. Perform literature reviews on relevant psychological topics, summarizing findings to inform chatbot content, crisis intervention protocols, and support pathways
6. Participate in user testing and gather feedback, assisting with revisions and refining chatbot responses based on findings

1. Currently enrolled in a master’s or advanced bachelor’s program in psychology, counseling, or a related field
2. Strong background in research methods, with the ability to synthesize and apply findings to real-world contexts
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey psychological concepts in clear, relatable language for adolescent users
4. Flexible and open-minded, comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving tech environment
5. Familiarity with digital tools and willingness to learn new technologies relevant to AI development
6. Interest or background in adolescent psychology, mental health technology, or digital health
7. Experience in content creation, such as blogs, articles, or educational resources in psychology or mental health
8. Basic understanding of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches for young people
