Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Work with developers, product managers, and other internal teams to understand system requirements for data and scraper projects
2. Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on system requirements and customer feedback
3. Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases for data extraction and scraper functionalities
4. Conduct manual testing of data extraction processes and scraper functionalities to ensure accuracy and reliability
5. Develop test cases using the Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) framework for data and scraper projects
6. Perform API testing using tools like Postman to verify data extraction and integration
7. Conduct database testing, including writing simple database queries to validate extracted data
8. Record and manage defects and enhancements using JIRA, focusing on data accuracy and scraper performance
9. Troubleshoot quality issues in data extraction and scraper processes and adjust test procedures as needed
10. Provide recommendations to improve the quality and efficiency of data extraction and scraper tools
11. Manage testing efforts across various data and scraper projects, even under tight deadlines
12. Collaborate with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing)
13. Identify, implement, and communicate best practices for test automation in data and scraper projects
