Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Architect robust, scalable, and secure solutions using Ruby on Rails
2. Develop a clean, maintainable, and efficient codebase adhering to best practices
3. Lead and participate in all stages of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment
4. Implement and advocate for test-driven development and continuous integration practices
5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define and refine project requirements
6. Design and oversee the development of new web applications, ensuring alignment with architectural standards
7. Maintain and optimize existing web applications, addressing performance and scalability concerns
8. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth
