This work is to create accessible digital format of educational contents so that students with visual impairments can read their books independently for their education.
Selected volunteer's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Proofreading work in microsoft word file
2. Applying formatting according to guidelines in word file
3. Converting word to Epub using a free wordtoepub tool
Only those candidates can apply who:
1. are available for the work from home job/internship
2. can start the work from home job/internship between 2nd Oct'21 and 6th Nov'21
3. are available for duration of 3 months
4. have relevant skills and interests

Established in 2003, with the sole purpose of empowering persons with blindness, Saksham has always believed in limiting limitations through providing assistive devices and training to use those devices and has made many of visually impaired 'Saksham'. The organization is also working to make cinema accessible for persons with visual and hearing impairment. An online library which provides access to books to persons with print disabilities is one of the huge success of the organization. Saksham also has its school for Children with blindness and multiple disabilities with the vision to provide special training, additional attention and specialized education they need. The organization is leaving no stone unturned to achieve its aim to empower persons with visual empowerment and to build a sensitized and motivated society that acknowledges the value of interdependence and appreciates the abilities of persons with disabilities and willingly provides equal opportunities for all.
