We are seeking a 'Business Development Intern' to support our product brand mapping initiative, a vital part of our broader category strategy. The intern will play a crucial role in identifying and building relationships with high-value, high-margin product manufacturers and traders, both domestically and internationally. The goal is to procure these products efficiently and ensure their relevance to steel manufacturers and foundries in India.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential manufacturers and traders.
2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure efficient procurement.
3. Analyze market trends and assess the relevance of products for steel manufacturers and foundries in India.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
5. Develop insights to enhance supply chain efficiency and profitability.

Relevant Skills:
1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Experience in B2B environments, demonstrating technical and strategic skills.
3. Proficiency in using Google Sheets/Excel for data analysis and management.
4. Expertise in cold calling, vendor management, and vendor negotiation.
Qualifications:
1. Preferably BE/BTech.
2. Strong analytical skills with a background in market research.
3. Excellent negotiation abilities.
4. Experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related discipline is a plus.
5. Quick-thinking and resourcefulness, capable of making informed decisions in fast-paced settings.
Job offer: On successful conversion to a permanent employee, the candidate can expect a salary of Rs. 400000 to 700000 /year
