Data Science Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work on out-of-the-box thinking in coming up with the best solutions for given problems
2. Work on data mining using state-of-the-art methods
3. Work on pre-processing and cleansing of structured and unstructured data
4. Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
5. Do ad-hoc analysis and present results
6. Build machine learning and deep learning algorithms
7. Combine models through ensemble modeling
8. Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
9. Work on A/B testing and test model quality
10. Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
11. Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges

Basic Qualifications:

1. Pursuing final year Bachelor s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
2. Data Science experience or projects/case studies
3. Strong problem-solving skills
4. Excellent feature engineering skills
5. Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, R, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
6. Knowledge of a variety of machine learning/deep learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills
8. Knowledge of one or more business/functional areas
