About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work on ideation and design of products using CAD and FEA software
2. Work on the development of the products (sheet metal as well as plastics) using rapid prototyping techniques
3. Design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) of new as well as existing designs
4. Work on the selection of appropriate material and the corresponding manufacturing process for the product
5. Consult with fabrication vendors during product manufacturing, providing physical assistance when required

Work division:
CAD/PC component: 80% and workshop/hands-on component: 20%.

Other requirements

1. Candidates who are proficient in CAD and have worked on application-based projects including sheet metal design, plastics design, machining part design, 3D printing, etc. will be preferred.

2. Candidates with a B.Tech. or BE in mechanical engineering will be preferred.

Additional information

Stipend structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive (₹ 5000 per performance).
