SoloCoin - The app is based on the concept of gamifying social-distancing which helps in reducing the impact of COVID-19. SoloCoin rewards users to engage in social-distancing. It's based on geofencing tech which detects if the user is inside their home or not. If they are then they'll get virtual coins that they can later redeem it into coupons from Hotstar, NetMeds, HealthifyMe, etc. They can also compete with nearby or global players via leaderboards. They can share milestones and badges collected from their friends on social media.
Solocoin attracted an amazing team of 25+ open source collaborators. Contributors are from around the world including senior leaders from Microsoft & GitHub, CXOs of startups & universities like Stanford, IIT & BITS-Pilani. The team is still growing with some really talented folks. We got an amazing pre-launch response of 2000+ page hits on the introductory website and 500+ waitlist signup.
