About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Develop, record, and maintain cutting-edge web-based PHP applications on the portal plus premium service platforms.
2. Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team.
3. Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript are valid and consistent across applications.
4. Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.
5. Utilize backend data services and contribute to increasing existing data service APIs.
6. Lead the entire web application development lifecycle, right from the concept stage to delivery and post-launch support.
7. Refactor, optimize, and improve the existing codebase for maintenance and scale.
8. Use test-driven development and acceptance tests to ensure feature quality.
9. Interface with customer and internal teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions.
10. Convey effectively all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules, and technical and process issues.
11. Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
12. Coordinate with co-developers, keep the project manager well-informed of the status of the development effort, and serve as a liaison between development staff and the project manager.
13. Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.
