About the work from home job/internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Collect local, national and international news through interviews, investigationsand observation
2. Write news stories for publication and broadcast
3. Receive, analyze and verify news and other copy for accuracy
4. Arrange for and conduct interviews as part of research and for radio and television programs
5. Research and report on developments in specialized fields such as medicine, science and technology
6. Prepare regular feature columns and stories on specialized topics
7. Write editorials and commentaries on topics of current interest to stimulate public interest and express the views of a publication or broadcasting station
8. Write critical reviews of literary, musical and other artistic works based on knowledge, judgment and experience
9. Perform other roles, tasks, and duties as assigned by the leadership team

Other requirements

1. Possess strong communication skills (both oral and written).

2. Proficiency in English and/or French, as needed.

3. Possess strong interviewing skills.

4. A degree in journalism, creative writing, communications, or a related field will be preferred.

5. Possess creative writing skills.

6. Possess the ability to work on tight deadlines.

7. Possess an attitude conducive to teamwork.

8. Possess a portfolio of recently published works.

9. Possess a passion for news, truth, and an unbiased approach.

10. Possess good computer skills and knowledge of CMS such as WordPress and Ghost (even if you do not have the knowledge of using a CMS, you should be willing to learn).

11. Possess the ability to source news from portals and RSS feeds.
