As a WordPress Development intern at Melting Cultures Network, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and user experience. We are looking for someone who is proficient in WordPress, HTML, CSS, PHP, SEO, and JavaScript and integration with social media and service desk ticketing (For example osTicket).
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Design and implement WordPress site as directed working closely with our CTO, incorporating comprehensive testing, and actioning the feedback
2. Integrate our website with social media and ticketing system (osTicket) from various form submissions.
2. Optimizing website performance and functionality through code improvements and troubleshooting.
3. Implement SEO best practices and improve site visibility.
4. Use themes and plugins to enhance user engagement, with appropriate customization where practical.
5. Conducting website audits and implementing necessary updates to ensure site security.
6. Providing technical support to internal teams and assisting with website maintenance tasks.
7. Staying up to date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our website.
