About the work from home job/internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities depend on which one (or multiple) of these tracks they work on:-

1. Mobile app development: help us build our customer-facing iOS app in Swift & SwiftUI (requires having your own Apple MacOS and iOS devices). Optionally, build a Kotlin-based Android version.
2. Full-stack (API) development: help us build our internal testing web platform and our internal backend API powering the service, primarily in Python/FastAPI.
3. Applied machine learning: voice analysis - "voice in, insights out" - help us build a state-of-the-art voice analysis engine (to connect to our internal API) to capture as many otherwise-ignored nuances of the voice and speech as possible - disfluencies, phonemes, prosody, etc. Python.
4. Applied machine learning: agentic conversational flow - help us enable a digital end-to-end therapy-like voice conversational session to the user. Python frameworks (primarily LangChain). Collect and process proprietary data.

Move fast and break things. Have your work used by actual users quickly, and iterate.

You get to work on cool shit! If you want to have something done a certain way (or work on deploying certain features) because you think it can help, you will be heard.

Who can apply

Only those candidates can apply who:

1. are available for the work from home job/internship

2. can work from 8:30 pm - 6:30 am Indian Standard Time (as the company is based outside of India & their local work timings are 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Pacific Standard Time)

3. can start the work from home job/internship between 8th Jun'24 and 13th Jul'24

4. are available for duration of 3 months

Other requirements

Preference & qualifications based on the tracks:-

For (1), past experience/projects in mobile app dev and/or Swift & SwiftUI. Experience with building user profile management.

For (2), past experience/projects in building full-stack web dev projects, preferably with Python, and/or APIs in Python. Some experience with user profile management.

For (3), past experience/projects in building applied ML projects, especially in speech/audio. Experience fine-tuning OSS models.

For (4), past experience/projects in building non-trivial applied ML-based applications. Building basic data pipelines.

While we are at the pre-pre-seed stage of funding (low five-figures in dollars), we will be raising more very soon. You will get very high ownership/control of your work. Theres a lot to do, which means were also looking for people who have a founder mentality - for people looking to roll up their sleeves and are comfortable working at the highest and the lowest levels. We are fully invested in your growth. As we raise future rounds of funding, we would love to continue the engagement (and pay more), and potentially offer FTE opportunities.
