About the work from home job/internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Redesign the website to enhance aesthetics and the user experience, incorporating modern, professional web design principles.
2. Optimize website content for clarity, engagement, and SEO to improve visibility and ranking on search engines.
3. Integrate a reliable payment gateway to facilitate secure and efficient transactions.
4. Implement and configure Wix-specific applications for SEO monitoring, data analytics, and additional functionalities to boost website performance.
5. Restructure the website layout to improve navigation and usability.
6. Ensure the website is optimized for speed and mobile responsiveness.
7. Add engaging and interactive elements, such as animations and multimedia content, to enrich the user experience.
8. Maintain and update the website as needed, addressing any issues such as bugs or performance problems.
9. Be prepared to evaluate and potentially transition the website from Wix to another platform, such as WordPress, if it becomes necessary to meet business goals and functionality requirements. This includes migrating content, maintaining SEO rankings, and redesigning the site within the new platform environment.

Other requirements

1. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, graphic design, or a related field is preferred but not required if the candidate has sufficient experience and a strong portfolio.

2. A minimum of 2 years of professional web development experience, specifically with the Wix platform.

3. Proven experience in web development with a portfolio showcasing completed Wix projects.

4. Expertise in Wix site design, including a deep understanding of its capabilities and limitations.

5. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Wix Corvid (Velo) for developing custom solutions.

6. Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create visually appealing layouts and elements.

7. Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices, including keyword research, content optimization, and meta tags.

8. Familiarity with data analytics tools and their integration into Wix sites.

9. Experience with e-commerce integrations and online payment systems.
