Terre des Hommes - Netherlands (TdH-NL) works to combat child exploitation by rescuing children from exploitative situations and providing them with safe environments for development. Central to its mission is the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, focusing on severe violations such as child labor, trafficking, (commercial) sexual exploitation, abuse, and violations of sexual and reproductive health rights (including harmful practices like child marriage and FGM). TdH-NL also provides humanitarian aid globally, prioritizing children's immediate protection needs during emergencies. Since 1983, TdH-NL has operated in India, implementing projects in collaboration with NGO partners possessing grassroots-level expertise. Currently, TdH-NL collaborates with 28 partners across six states, reaching approximately 35,000 vulnerable children requiring care and protection.
