1. Financial record keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Record and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and organizational policies
2. Financial reporting: Prepare regular financial statements, reports, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
3. Budgeting and forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets. Provide support in creating financial forecasts and projections
4. Reconciliation: Conduct periodic reconciliation of bank statements, general ledgers, and other financial documents. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues promptly
5. Compliance and regulation: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and legal requirements. Stay updated on changes in accounting principles and standards
6. Audit support: Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits. Address audit inquiries and implement recommendations for process improvement
7. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support decision-making. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency
8. Technology proficiency: Utilize accounting software and financial management tools proficiently. Stay informed about advancements in accounting technology and recommend upgrades or improvements
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is desirable
3. Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
5. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications
6. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities
7. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting financial information
