Accountant Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in preparing and finalizing financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss statements) in accordance with accounting standards.
2. Audit Coordination: Collaborate with auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
3. Data Compilation: Gather and organize financial data from various departments for accurate reporting and analysis.
4. Compliance Checks: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
5. Reconciliation: Conduct reconciliations of accounts (bank, vendor, and customer accounts) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
6. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all financial transactions and audit trails for transparency and future reference.
7. Adjusting Entries: Prepare and record necessary adjusting entries to ensure an accurate representation of financial performance.
8. Final Review: Review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness before submission to management or regulatory authorities.
9. Tax Return Filing: Prepare and file income tax returns and other regulatory filings related to the finalized accounts.
10. Liaison with Authorities: Communicate with tax authorities regarding any queries or issues related to audits and filings.
11. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and controls and recommend enhancements.
12. Training and Support: Provide guidance to junior staff regarding audit processes, financial reporting, and compliance.
