Key responsibilities:

1. Ensure accurate books and records in compliance with relevant GAAP, preparation of the management accounts, and assist with ad hoc queries
2. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations
3. Handle day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable
4. Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies
5. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and summaries
6. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis
7. Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax returns; stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance
8. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits; implement audit recommendations and ensure corrective actions
9. Collaborate in the development and monitoring of budgets; provide financial information for budgeting and forecasting
10. Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
11. Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
12. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
13. Participate in system upgrades and improvements (Knowledge of NextGen tools such as Tableau, Confluence, Alteryx, Workiva, and similar is required)
14. Liaise with vendors and ensure timely payment processing & negotiate favorable terms with vendors when applicable
