About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.
2. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
3. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
4. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including gathering data, preparing reports, and analyzing financial performance against budgeted targets.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
5. Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and management, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
6. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements as needed.
7. Provide support during financial audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.

Other requirements

1. Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.

2. Years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

3. Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Zoho systems is a plus.

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.

5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

8. Strong ethics and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standards.

Salary

Annual CTC: ₹ 5,00,000 - 7,50,000 /year
