The admission counsellor is responsible for providing comprehensive information and guidance to prospective students interested in pursuing MBA and PGDM programs. The role involves counseling candidates through the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment, ensuring a smooth and positive experience. The admission counsellor will also contribute to the development and execution of recruitment strategies to meet enrollment targets.
Key Responsibilities:
(a) Counseling & student interaction:
1. Provide detailed information about MBA and PGDM programs, admission criteria, eligibility requirements, and career opportunities to prospective students.
2. Guide applicants through the admissions process, including application completion, document submission, and interview scheduling.
3. Address inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
(b) Recruitment & outreach:
1. Participate in and represent the institution at educational fairs, webinars, workshops, and other recruitment events.
2. Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, educational consultants, and academic institutions.
3. Develop and implement outreach strategies to attract a diverse and qualified pool of applicants.
(c) Data management & reporting:
1. Maintain accurate records of prospective students, inquiries, and admissions data in the institution's CRM system.
2. Prepare and submit regular reports on admissions activities, application trends, and enrollment figures to the Admissions Manager/Director.
(d) Relationship management:
1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with admitted students to support them throughout the enrollment process.
2. Act as a liaison between students and various departments, such as financial aid, academic advising, and student services.
(e) Market analysis & strategy development:
1. Stay updated on trends in higher education, particularly in the MBA and PGDM sectors, to inform recruitment strategies.
2. Provide insights and feedback on program offerings, marketing materials, and communication strategies based on interactions with prospective students.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in admissions, counseling, or related roles, preferably within higher education or business schools.

2. Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
5. Familiarity with MBA/PGDM program structures and career outcomes.
