Key Responsibilities:

1. Professional communication: Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage with students and parents clearly and professionally.
2. Lead generation & sales: Ability to identify and engage prospective students, converting leads into enrollments.
3. Career counseling: Expertise in advising students on suitable educational pathways based on career goals.
4. Student relationship building: Ability to foster positive, ongoing relationships with students throughout their educational journey.
5. Sales & upselling: Proven experience in sales, with the ability to upsell additional programs or services.
6. Admission counseling: Familiarity with the admission process, from application to enrollment.
7. EdTech sales knowledge: Understanding of the EdTech industry and its unique opportunities and challenges.
8. Student development focus: A commitment to supporting students' personal and academic growth.
9. Sales technology proficiency: Competence with CRM tools and sales software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to track student interactions and progress.
10. Time management & follow-up: Strong organizational skills to manage follow-up communications with prospective students and ensure timely responses.

Other requirements

Experience in Higher Education or EdTech: Background in counselling for higher education institutions or EdTech platforms.

Experience in B2C Sales: Ability to work in a business-to-consumer sales environment, particularly in education-related fields.

Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness of cultural diversity and the ability to counsel students from various backgrounds.

CRM & Data Management: Experience managing leads and students using CRM software (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce) and understanding of tracking metrics.

Digital Literacy: Familiarity with virtual counseling platforms and online communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).

Multitasking Ability: Capable of managing multiple student inquiries and follow-ups simultaneously.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot issues or concerns students may have regarding admissions, courses, or program selection.

Understanding of Student Needs: Ability to empathize with student concerns and provide personalized, relevant solutions to their challenges.

Collaborative Team Player: Willingness to work with other departments (marketing, faculty, etc.) to ensure a smooth admission process.

Goal-Oriented: Driven to meet or exceed enrolment targets and performance goals.
