Admission Officer Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Playing an active role in the Admission Enquiry Service of GICLM responding via telephone, in writing via e-mail and in person to potential applicants and their promoting relevant services.
2. Communicating up-to-date accurate and relevant information regarding GICL, its programmes and related information.
3. Monitoring requests for admission and following up on lead generation with the team.
4. Creating and maintaining manual and computer records for each application and enquiry.
5. To develop and implement a growth strategy and tactical business development plan that ensures attraction, recruitment and retention of students
6. Develops a network of alumni by identifying and training successful alumni willing to help recruit students; coordinating the network s activities
7. Develop a profile of students attracted to the college by conducting research; interviewing applicants; designing questionnaires for current students; analyzing questionnaire results; conducting focus on IB groups
8. Evaluates recruitment techniques by determining the effectiveness of each recruitment technique used by admissions; Discerning the appeal of admissions literature; defining the expectations of the GICLM
9. Actively adhering to and promoting the highest levels of client service standards throughout the process from initial enquiry to student enrolment.
10. Ensuring lapses of Client service standards are appropriately reported in order to minimize their impact.
11. Promoting enquiries to potential students ensuring maximum attendance and high rate of conversion to enrolment.
12. Assessing eligibility of applicants for admission to pre-primary/ primary /secondary and IBDP sections and referring them to relevant sections.
13. Liaising closely with Parents, teachers and the admission team to ensure smooth and speedy admission decisions.
14. Generating and dispatching selection and rejection letters and recording responses to these.
15. Dealing professionally and sensitively with rejections appeals and funding queries.
16. Assisting with market research and competitor analysis, identifying monitoring the activities of key competitors.
