1. Oversee the daily operations of the farm, which will include planting, trimming, and harvesting of crops
2. Develop better planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques, improve crop yield, and solve problems on the farm site. The duties will be delegated to personnel on site
3. Consistently research and strategize for the company to find solutions to changes in soil, water, climate, weather, and pest damage
4. Visiting different fields to conduct surveys and studies for the company s R&D. To assist with sourcing, testing, and selection of plants
5. Testing harvest samples for quality control, nutritional deficiency, diseases, and other problems
6. Making sure the crop needs, such as lighting, soil pH, nutrition, water, etc. are met consistently
7. Maintaining detailed records of the farm, harvest, inventory, samples, etc.
8. Identifying and resolving potential threats to crop yield, like pests and infections
9. Generating monthly reports and reporting to management. The candidate will be responsible for planning the planting and irrigation schedule and timeline
10. Ensuring the farm complies with all relevant state laws and regulations that apply to the farm
11. Liasoning services with 3rd party vendors and companies, for procurement of raw materials, joint ventures, sales, and marketing
The candidate might have to stay in accommodations on the farm site.
