About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Design and develop intuitive, efficient, and reliable Android applications that adhere to best practices and guidelines
2. Write clean, modular, and maintainable code using programming languages such as Java or Kotlin
3. Conduct thorough testing of developed applications to ensure functionality, performance, and stability
4. Identify and address bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other issues
5. Use version control tools (e.g., Git) to manage codebase changes and collaborate effectively with team members
6. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members
7. Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to translate requirements into functional applications
8. Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions with team members and stakeholders
9. Create and maintain documentation for developed features, APIs, and codebase for future reference and knowledge sharing

Other requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

Proven 2-3 years of experience in Native Android Application development

Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin programming languages

Solid understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with various screen sizes

Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and integration of external services

Familiarity with modern design principles, UI/UX standards, and material design

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment

Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
