About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough testing of web applications to identify bugs, usability issues, and security vulnerabilities
2. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications
3. Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to understand project requirements and ensure effective test coverage
4. Perform functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and security testing of web applications
5. Document and report defects, issues, and test results in a clear and organized manner
6. Work closely with the development team to reproduce, debug, and resolve identified issues
7. Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in web application testing
8. Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and quality assurance process improvements

Who can apply

1. Candidates with minimum 1 years of experience.

Other requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

2. Proven experience as a web application tester or similar role

3. Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP protocols

4. Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar

5. Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar

6. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

8. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team

9. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred:

1. Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester) or related areas

2. Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar

3. Knowledge of web security concepts and tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or similar

4. Knowledge of the Kannada Language is a plus
