About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Greeting visitors with professionalism and warmth
2. Managing timed-entry appointments calendars
3. Fielding incoming phone calls
4. Preparing and updating price lists for exhibitions and viewings
5. Managing the shipping and receiving of gallery mail and packages
6. Maintaining general office and kitchen supply inventories
7. Handling outreach and on-ground work for exhibition preparation and promotion
8. Maintaining the pristine appearance of the front desk area and the built-in book displays, while keeping exhibition materials stocked and orderly
9. Assisting with contact database maintenance, exhibition preparation, and additional projects as needed
10. Giving tours of the exhibition upon request
11. Managing all interns
12. Assisting with the management and maintenance of the gallery s exhibition and library archive

About APRE Art House

APRE Art House was founded in 2016 and is located in Colaba. The Gallery runs an artist residency program in a 10,000 sq. ft. Facility in Saki Naka. APRE contributes to the diverse and multi-layered space of contemporary art and creates an innovative platform for its understanding and outreach both nationally and globally.

The gallery has executed innumerable multidisciplinary exhibitions, art fairs, events, and arts programs over the last few years. APRE aims to promote plural art culture through regular physical and virtual showcases while also continuing to develop public programming.

Prerna SM Jain has earned her master's degree in 'modern and contemporary art market and its history' from Christie's Education, New York. She has worked at several art galleries and institutions internationally. She has trained at multiple institutions in France and New York.
