Associate Accountant Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and analyses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles
2. Support the finance team in managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling invoices, and maintaining financial records
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and support budgeting and forecasting activities
4. Research industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements
5. Perform data entry and analysis using Advanced Excel, creating comprehensive reports and visualizations for decision-making
6. Enhance the effectiveness of the accounting system by suggesting updates, implementing process improvements, and ensuring data integrity
7. Participate in ad-hoc projects, such as financial audits and inventory management, to gain exposure to different facets of finance and accounting
8. Review and verify purchase orders received from vendors for accuracy and completeness and check the invoices:
Invoice Generation
Generate and process invoices based on the verified and approved purchase orders
Work closely with the procurement team to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to POs and invoices
9. Do documentation and ensure record keeping
10. Dodaily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of purchase orders received and invoices raised
11. Do daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of remittances received from vendors with their corresponding invoices
12. Ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies on time
13. Compile and maintain comprehensive records of direct sales from third-party sources
14. Organize and document all relevant information to support financial transparency
