Associate Accountant Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Ensure accurate calculation, collection, and remittance of GST on insurance premiums and services
2. File GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) in a timely manner
3. Maintain detailed records of GST input and output
4. Handle GST reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies with the authorities
5. Ensure compliance with the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) where applicable for services received
6. Deduct TDS on insurance commission payments to agents or brokers
7. Calculate and remit TDS on salaries and other payments such as contractor services or professional fees
8. File TDS returns and issue TDS certificates (Form 16/16A) in a timely manner
9. Ensure compliance with applicable TDS rates under various sections of the Income Tax Act
10. Deduct and pay Professional Tax (PT) for employees where applicable in the state
11. Ensure timely remittance of PT to the state government
12. File PT returns and maintain compliance records
