Associate Chartered Accountant (CA) Job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensures that state laws, regulations, and city procedures are followed in regard to accounting and purchasing guidelines
2. Stays abreast of accounting standards to ensure accounting information is in accordance with GAAP and GASB
3. Proficient in accounting with a focus on TDS, VAT, and Compliance.
4. Ensures adequate cash balances by reconciling all bank and investment accounts both accurately and timely each month
5. Monitors activity of accounts, researching transactions in order to ensure proper reporting
6. Ensures accurate fund accounting, generating journal entries and ensuring transactions are posted in the correct fund and to the correct account
7. Maintains reconciliations and verifies that accounts are balanced to the general ledger on a monthly basis
8. Assists in accounting and reporting of capital assets
9. Verifies the accuracy of the accounts receivable subsidiary ledger
10. Assists with the accounts payable, revenue collection, and financial administration functions of the department
