About the job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Interim arguments: The associate(s) hired will be responsible for handling interim arguments on a day-to-day basis. We at LSLC believe in empowering young lawyers by giving them the responsibility and accountability that comes with courtroom practice. This provides them with ample learning opportunities and valuable courtroom experience. Therefore, applicants are expected to already possess the ability to effectively make interim arguments.
2. Following up: Procedural directions issued by court will have to be followed up such as written arguments to be filed, replies to be drafted etc.
3. Representing clients in assigned matters.
4. Conducting legal research and draft legal documents.
5. Preparing for and assisting in conducting trials and hearings.
6. Collaborating with senior lawyers and supporting staff to ensure comprehensive case management

Who can apply

1. Candidates with minimum 1 years of experience.

Other requirements

Requirements:

1. Minimum 2 years of standing experience in the High Court, or

2. 1 year of experience in the Trial Court and the following years of argument experience in the High Court

3. Strong litigation and courtroom experience

4. Proficiency in legal research and drafting

5. Eminent argument and negotiation skills

6. Ability to manage a diverse caseload with diligence and professionalism

Additional Assessment:

Candidates will be required to take a written test during or after the interview, as deemed fit by the office. The test may include any or all given situations for the assessment based on the interviewer or the interviewee:

1. Drafting a petition based on given facts

2. Finding relevant case law according to provided facts and legal points

3. Briefing of a case file.

(which is the minimum of whats expected of you as an associate, also this will only be asked of the selected candidates as we are not allowing probation period.)

Annual CTC: ₹ 2,40,000 - 4,20,000 /year
