Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Bakery and Pastry Chef to join with one of our leading Clients in Hospitality Industry. This mid-level position will be based in various locations including Thiruvananthapuram, Cochin, Kozhikode, and Thrissur. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years of relevant work experience in the culinary field.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience of 4-6 years as a Bakery and Pastry Chef in a reputable establishment
Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and kitchen equipment
Proficiency in creating a variety of pastries, bread, and desserts with a strong focus on presentation
Familiarity with confectionery and the ability to produce sugar work and chocolate decorations
Understanding of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a small team
Hospitality management skills to collaborate with the broader kitchen and service teams
Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and creation of a wide range of baked goods and pastries
Design and implement unique recipes and menu items that align with customer preferences
Ensure all baked goods meet quality and consistency standards
Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on baking techniques and best practices
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the baking area
Collaborate with the executive chef and other culinary team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into the menu
