About the job

As a 'Business Development Executive (BDE)', your primary responsibility will be to drive business growth, increase revenue, and enhance operational efficiency. This includes developing marketing strategies, generating leads, closing sales, and building partnerships with businesses and agencies that require staff training. You will also analyze existing processes and work on automating and streamlining operations to minimize manual effort and boost productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Growth & Sales:
- Increase course enrolments by developing and executing strategies to attract more learners.
- Generate leads by identifying and targeting new potential customers (both individuals and businesses).
- Close high-value sales by converting leads into paying learners using strong sales skills.
- Build B2B partnerships by developing relationships with companies, recruitment agencies, and organizations needing staff training.
- Pitch and sell corporate training packages to businesses.

2. Digital Strategy & Content:
- Oversee social media campaigns, content creation, and online advertising to drive awareness and engagement.
- Collaborate with the web development team to optimize the website for lead generation, user experience, and course enrolments.

3. Marketing & Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor competitors and adjust strategies to stay competitive.
- Identify trends in the training industry to stay ahead.

4. Revenue Growth:
- Explore opportunities to generate additional income through upselling, launching membership programs, and creating loyalty and referral programs.

5. Operations Management:
- Oversee the operations team, ensuring tasks are efficiently delegated, allowing you to focus on strategic decisions.

6. KPI Tracking:
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to course enrolments, lead generation, sales revenue, and customer retention.

7. Reduce Administrative Overload:
- Implement automation for enrolments, payments, and reminders.
- Optimize the ZOHO CRM system to ensure inquiries and follow-ups are well-tracked.

8. Pricing & Course Packages:
- Identify new pricing strategies to maximize revenue.
- Advise on improving business processes where necessary.

9. Handle High-Value Inquiries:
- Respond to serious leads via calls and emails.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to improve ad campaigns and lead generation efforts.

10. Support Sales Team:
- Train staff on handling inquiries professionally, providing sales scripts and guidance.

Skills & Experience Required:

1. Proven experience in business development and sales in the education/training industry.
2. Strong understanding of the UK education and vocational training market.
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close sales.
4. Experience in lead generation and marketing strategies.
5. Ability to automate and optimize business processes.
6. Familiarity with Zoho CRM software.
7. Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms.
8. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
