About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Define and drive functional and business goals
2. Build a data-oriented culture, adopt technology solutions, and implement process improvement projects to achieve business objectives
3. Manage stakeholder communication across multiple lines of business on various project milestones, process changes, escalations, etc.
4. Design and develop relationships with senior stakeholders in the retail business
5. Ensure quality standards for interviewing and hiring employees at all levels of the organization
6. Lead and manage a small team of automation specialists responsible for the end-to-end support operations management of retail categories in various Amazon international marketplaces
7. Involve in end-to-end business planning including creating annual plans and strategies for execution, ensuring operational rigor, designing business impact processes, and identifying automation possibilities that drive process efficiency
8. Serve as the strategic point of contact for the operations and business teams of Amazon worldwide, liaising with remote teams and senior leaders
9. Manage business impact via functional activities and be accountable for designing and delivering on all KPIs
10. Interface and drive agendas with the operations and technology teams, building scalable solutions
11. Ensure the safety, security, and integrity of systems and data
12. Influence peers and stakeholders in other functions to achieve assigned functional and business goals
13. Seek to understand the core business values and initiatives of Amazon and translate those into everyday practices

A. Basic Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of work experience with at least 1+ years of experience in managing people

2. 1+ years of experience in SQL and Python scripting

3. Experience in supporting systems built using Java and SQL

4. Experience with mid-size relational databases is essential

5. Background in quantitative decision-making, able to drive business metrics, automate operational tasks, and drive process excellence and the adoption of different tools and resources

6. Experience managing critical support functions and processes with end-to-end business responsibility

7. Excellent collaborative management skills

8. Proven expertise and ability to develop processes and procedures that enhance overall efficiency, with a bias towards automation in all operational tasks

9. Ability to work at all levels of detail to accomplish team/organization goals

10. Ability to identify individual strengths of team members and contribute to talent advancement, along with succession planning opportunities within the company

B. Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree and certification in process excellence (PMI, Lean, and Six Sigma)

2. Exposure to working with technology teams and solving operational issues using technology (if required)

3. Willingness to work across shifts during peak periods

4. Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to drive projects and ensure closure within stipulated timelines
