Civil Engineer Job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze photographs, drawings and maps to inform the direction of projects as well as the overall budget constraints.
2. Ensure project feasibility through continual evaluation of structural integrity and design practicality.
3. Create designs that utilize a variety of materials.
4. Perform and adjust quantity calculations for practical and budgetary purposes.
5. Communicate with team members as well as clients and vendors to ensure maximum cohesion and fluidity on projects.
6. Forecast design and construction time frames.
7. Inspect project sites to ensure they meet relevant codes and are progressing properly.
8. Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and the pricing of materials.
9. Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
10. Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.
11. Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
12. Daily administration of the site, comprising supervision as well as observing the site workforce as well as the work of some sub-contractors.
13. Solving technical problems with organization's representatives, providers, sub-contractors as well as relevant authorities.
14. Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
