Job Title: CNC Programmer
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and programming, with expertise in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for translating engineering designs into efficient and accurate CNC programs to produce high-quality machined parts. You will collaborate closely with engineers and machinists to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure the timely delivery of precision components.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Optimize machining processes to maximize efficiency, minimize cycle times, and reduce material waste.
Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for each job.
Perform machine setup and tooling changes as needed.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of CNC programs to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with engineers and machinists to resolve any issues related to machining operations.
Maintain documentation of CNC programs, tooling, and setup instructions.
Stay updated on advancements in CNC technology and machining techniques.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, or similar.
Strong understanding of machining principles and CNC programming techniques.
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and blueprint reading.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
