About the job

Key responsibilities and job description:

1. Assist vision technician with patient registration, refraction, and referrals
2. Work on the day-to-day implementation of outreach activities as per the plan
3. Outreach progress through field visits and other activities being undertaken
4. Network and lobby with various frontline government functionaries such as teachers, PRIs, Asha and Anganwadi workers
5. Assist in spectacle dispensing
6. Undertake the training of grass root functionaries and community volunteers.
7. Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and other reports
8. Work on documentation of all the records and reports of the vision center to be maintained
9. Conduct field-level monthly meetings
10. Work closed with the block level, district level, (PHC/CHC) officials for effective coordination
11. Analyze the quality aspect of the program periodically and accordingly

Requirements:

1. Ability to mobilize the community for inclusive eye health
2. Ability to understand the needs of persons with disabilities
3. Ability to learn basics of eye health care services
4. Communication skills
5. Reporting skills
6. Graduate in social work/humanities/public health
7. Two years of experience in community work/social work as a health worker, community animator

Skill(s) required

Effective Communication Kannada Proficiency (Spoken)
Earn certifications in these skills

Salary

Annual CTC: ₹ 2,00,000 /year

Annual CTC breakup:

1. Fixed component: 80%

2. Variable component: 15%

3. Other incentives: 5%
