Copyeditor Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Edit content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and flow
2. Ensure correct tone, clarity, and structure of content
3. Work on multiple projects simultaneously
4. Meet deadlines and work toward achieving the goal
5. Communicate and collaborate with production teams to ensure that content is published in a correct manner, as and when required
6. Ensure that content adheres to the in-house style guide
7. Ensure all elements are thoroughly checked before uploading the final edited file
8. Collaborate with team members so that a project can be delivered on time
9. Ensure that floating elements are correctly captioned and referred to in the text
10. Maintain a style checklist to ensure consistency in hyphenation, capitalization, formatting of references, etc.
11. Stay aware of new words or phrases coming into popular usage

Skills:

1. Good communication and interpersonal skills
2. Organized and detail-oriented

4. Proficiency in Word
5. Knowledge of medical editing will be an added advantage
