1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize & develop remote monitoring system devices including sensors, data acquisition systems, & communication interfaces
2. Design, simulate, and prototype electronic circuits, PCBs, and other hardware components, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
3. Develop and program embedded systems to control and interact with various sensors and communication protocols, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular networks
4. Evaluate, select, and integrate sensors and measurement instruments suitable for remote monitoring applications, considering accuracy, power consumption, and environmental factors
5. Implement and optimize communication protocols to enable data transmission and remote control functionalities, ensuring secure and reliable data transfer
6. Conduct thorough testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic systems to ensure they meet performance specifications and safety standards
7. Create comprehensive documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and design specifications, to facilitate manufacturing and product support
8. Collaborate with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of electronic components into the overall system
9. Identify and resolve technical challenges and issues that may arise during the development and testing phases
10. Build and test prototypes to evaluate feasibility and refine designs based on practical insights
Requirements:
1. Extensive experience in micro-controller (ARM Cortex M7, STM32, NXP Kinetis, Microchip PIC32, etc.)
2. Hands-on with PCB Design and Layout tools, Analog and Digital Circuit Design, & Hands-on with efficient Power supply design
3. Proficient in Embedded software development using Embedded C
4. Strong ability in Failure & faults root cause analysis In-house/Customer site
5. Excellent knowledge of 32-bit micro-controller/microprocessor architecture & operating system concepts
6. Expert in Python, C, C++
7. Ability to Understand the Legacy Software Platforms and make relevant modifications/feature additions/Improvements/Bug Fixing
8. Component Selection and BOM Generation, Board Bring up and testing
9. Knowledge of EMI/EMC and SI tests is a plus
10. Good understanding of Key Peripherals: USB, Ethernet, DDR, PCIe, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, I2S
11. Good understanding of wireless protocols like NFC, Bluetooth & WI-FI
