About the job

Key Responsibilities:

Imaging Systems Development:
1. Lead the design and development of imaging systems, including camera modules and sensor integration.
2. Work on implementing drivers for various camera modules and ensure seamless integration into the larger system.
3. Firmware development: Collaborate with firmware engineers to develop control algorithms for sensor operation, filter switching, and data acquisition.

Image and Sensor Fusion:
1. Develop and optimize solutions for multi-camera video capture and synchronization.
2. Implement sensor fusion algorithms to combine data from various imaging and sensing systems.

Electronics and Electrical Integration:
1. Design and integrate electronics for embedded systems, ensuring reliable performance across all hardware components.
2. Work closely with the electrical engineering team to manage power distribution, sensor interfaces, and other electrical integrations.

PCB Design and Development:
1. Guide the design and development of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for various components.
2. Collaborate with manufacturing partners for the prototyping and production of hardware designs.

Multi-Camera Video Processing:
1. Implement multi-camera video capture, stitching, and calibration algorithms.
2. Collaborate on video stitching algorithms for panoramic views and optimize performance for real-time applications.

Machine Learning Integration:
1. Work with software and AI teams to deploy machine learning models for object detection, tracking, and real-time video analysis.
2. Optimize hardware and software pipelines for the real-time processing of video data on embedded platforms such as Nvidia Jetson boards.

Debugging and Performance Optimization:
1. Analyze and resolve issues related to system performance, hardware integration, and real-time processing.
2. Perform debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of embedded systems.

Documentation: Create detailed design documentation, testing protocols, and calibration procedures for optical and electronic components.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in embedded systems programming, including experience with drivers for camera modules.

2. Solid understanding of computer vision principles and algorithms, especially in multi-camera systems.

3. Hands-on experience with PCB design tools and hardware design processes.

4. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.

5. Familiarity with Nvidia Jetson platforms, Raspberry Pi, or other embedded systems.

6. Strong understanding of electronics and electrical systems for integration with sensors and cameras.

7. Experience with real-time video processing, video stitching, and image processing algorithms.

Software and Tools:

1. Experience with OpenCV or similar frameworks for computer vision tasks.

2. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, CUDA) for deploying machine learning models on embedded platforms.

3. Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and Linux operating systems.
