We are a D2C brand in operation since 2020, based in Gurgaon. Creating products that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also seamlessly integrate with our modern and busy lives. We work directly with artisans across the country, bringing the various indigenous crafts to the mainstream. The company in its start-up phase and offers many areas of opportunity to learn beyond its core skill. We are looking to expand our team and are hiring for the role of fashion designer.
Key responsibilities:
1. Lead the design process from conception through to final styling.
2. Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
3. Creating internal buy-in for the designs
4. Working on sampling, closely with the stitching master to execute samples for garments, embroidery, etc.
5. Create a sampling plan and deliver final garments for production within defined timelines
6. Work on sourcing by building and maintaining relationships with all suppliers
7. Maintain supplier information, track order status for raw materials, etc.
8. Scan the market to identify new sources for all supplies
9. Manage the production process (planning and QC only)
10. Work with the operations team to finalize the production plan based on order status and inventory to be created
11. Identify and manage external production vendors
12. Create processes for quality checks, work with internal team on quality checks for all production (in-house and external)
13. Assist the graphic design team with PS/AI etc.
Requirements:
1. NIFT Graduates (2022, 2021, 2020 batches only)
2. A go-getter attitude
3. Someone with a drive to learn
4. Working knowledge of leading design tools including but not limited to Photoshop (PS), Illustrator (AI), basic video editing, etc.
5. High work ethic to deliver on commitments, timelines, etc.
6. Ability to hustle and deliver results with a sense of urgency
7. Previous experience in managing own/commercial social media presence will be an advantage
