Key Responsibilities
Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions using accounting software
Maintain the general ledger by posting entries for sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
Regularly reconcile bank statements and financial records to ensure accuracy
Reconcile accounts receivable and payable, ensuring all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved promptly
Enter financial data into relevant databases in a timely and accurate manner
Maintain organized and updated financial records, including invoices, receipts, and statements
Prepare and send invoices to clients
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments
Manage accounts payable by processing vendor bills and payments
Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll
Ensure all payroll-related transactions are recorded accurately
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards in India
Prepare regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Assist in the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation and financial reports
Coordinate with auditors and resolve any queries or discrepancies
Liaise with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to address queries related to financial transactions
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations
Use accounting software such as Tally and Zoho Books efficiently
Stay updated with software updates and new features that could enhance the bookkeeping process
Identify and suggest improvements to existing bookkeeping processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Communicate with clients to understand their bookkeeping needs
Provide regular updates to clients on their financial position
Have 0-2 years in bookkeeping or a related accounting role, preferably in outsourcing
Possess a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; certification in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus
Demonstrate proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar software
Exhibit strong MS Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
Show strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
