1. Financial recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements. Record transactions, such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, into the appropriate accounts. Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and classified
2. Financial reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Present financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required
3. Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing financial insights and analysis. Monitor budget performance and report any deviations or discrepancies. Collaborate with management to develop strategies for achieving financial goals
4. Tax compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time. Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
5. Auditing: Support internal and external audits by providing financial data and documentation. Assist in implementing audit recommendations and improving internal controls
6. Financial analysis: Conduct financial analysis to evaluate financial performance, profitability, and liquidity. Identify areas for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and process improvement
7. Compliance and risk management: Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and industry standards. Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance. Participate in risk assessment activities and contribute to risk management strategies
8. Communication and collaboration: Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders regarding financial matters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to achieve organizational objectives. Provide financial guidance and support to colleagues as needed
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA certification may be preferred for certain positions)
2. Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
3. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus
4. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
