We are currently seeking a desktop support engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of Windows, Linux, Mac, and Office 365, along with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach. As an IT support technician, you will be responsible for addressing user tickets related to hardware, software, and networking, conducting remote troubleshooting, and providing guidance to users with simple, step-by-step instructions.
Key responsibilities:
1. Address user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking issues, providing timely resolution and excellent customer service
2. Utilize a basic understanding of Windows, Linux, Mac, and Office 365 to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
3. Conduct remote troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently
4. Test alternative pathways until an issue is resolved, ensuring minimal disruption to users
5. Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions to resolve technical issues independently
6. Maintain accurate inventory records of hardware, software, and other IT assets
7. Communicate effectively with users to gather necessary information and provide updates on issue resolution status
8. Collaborate with other members of the IT team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
9. Document support activities and solutions for future reference
