1. Manage and maintain our infrastructure using modern DevOps practices to ensure its smooth operation and high availability
2. Automate the process of building, testing, and deploying various open-source and internal services with features such as high reliability and availability, data backup and restoration, health monitoring, and system alerts
3. Continuously monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
4. Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement efficient CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable software deployments
4. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues on time
5. Work closely with the engineering team to establish SLAs and ensure the infrastructure meets performance and availability targets
6. Administer and manage relevant JIRA tickets to keep track of work
7. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for improvements to our infrastructure
Requirements:
1. 0 to 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
2. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
3. Strong experience in Linux system administration, Bash/Python scripting for automation tasks
4. Experienced in container orchestration and management tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes
5. Fluent in Git-based workflows like branching, merging, rebasing
6. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
7. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and learn new concepts independently
8. Proven experience with at least one programming language - Python/Java/etc.
9. Familiarity with JIRA or similar tools
10. Experience in configuring and managing high data velocity services like Apache Kafka would be advantageous
