1. Prepare month end journal entries (reclassifications, etc.)
2. Engage with non-finance team members as needed to understand and better serve the company operations
3. Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
4. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
5. Detect, research, and reconcile unusual items
6. Generate customer reports and run queries
7. Review open accounts for collection efforts
8. Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates
9. Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management
10. Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports
11. Make outbound collection calls professionally while keeping and improving customer relations
12. Act as mediator in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
