Key responsibilities:

1. Design and develop innovative clothing and accessories
2. Create hand-drawn or digital sketches of designs
3. Research fashion trends, consumer preferences, and industry innovations
4. Develop mood boards and color palettes inspired by art, culture, or seasonal themes
5. Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials for designs
6. Draft patterns or collaborate with pattern-makers to create prototypes
7. Prepare detailed technical drawings with production specifications
8. Oversee the creation of sample garments to ensure design accuracy
9. Conduct fittings and make adjustments to prototypes as needed
10. Coordinate with stylists, merchandisers, and manufacturers to bring designs to life
11. Collaborate with fabric suppliers, factories, and production teams
12. Adjust designs based on feedback from teams, clients, or end-users
13. Plan seasonal collections based on customer needs and market demands
14. Present designs to clients, buyers, or stakeholders in meetings
15. Manage budgets for materials and production processes
16. Forecast trends to ensure market competitiveness
17. Prepare designs for runway shows, photoshoots, or promotional campaigns
18. Collaborate with marketing teams to promote designs on social media platforms
