As a level designer, you will work closely with our design team to create engaging, balanced, and visually stunning levels for our games. You will learn the ins and outs of game design, collaborate with various departments, and contribute to the development of unique gaming experiences.
Key responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with senior designers to conceptualize and create levels that align with the game's vision and mechanics.
2. Design and prototype levels using game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or in-house tools.
3. Test levels to ensure they are fun, balanced, and free of major bugs or design flaws.
4. Gather and implement feedback from playtests to refine and improve level design.
5. Assist in creating documentation for level design concepts and workflows.
6. Stay updated with gaming trends and best practices in level design.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Passion for Gaming: A deep love for games and an understanding of what makes gameplay engaging and fun.
Basic Technical Skills: Familiarity with at least one game engine (Unity, Unreal, etc.) and a willingness to learn new tools.
Creativity: Strong ability to think outside the box and design innovative, player-centric levels.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot design challenges and find creative solutions.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
