About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Review and understand software requirements and specifications to develop test cases and test plans.
2. Execute manual test cases and document test results to ensure software functionality and performance.
3. Identify, document, and report defects and inconsistencies in the software.
4. Collaborate with developers and other team members to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
5. Perform regression testing to validate fixes and ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
6. Participate in requirement analysis and provide input on testability and quality risks.
7. Maintain and update test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
8. Ensure adherence to QA processes and methodologies.

Other requirements

1. Bachelors degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), MCA, or MSc IT.

2. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools.

3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

4. Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects.

5. Good written and verbal communication skills.

6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

7. Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

8. Familiarity with any bug tracking or test management tools is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Internships or academic projects related to software testing or quality assurance.

2. Basic knowledge of any programming or scripting languages.

3. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is an advantage.

Annual CTC: ₹ 2,00,000 - 3,00,000 /year
