This is a full-time on-site role for a Paralegal at Nyaya Reeti in Bengaluru. The Paralegal will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks including legal document preparation, communication, research, and document review.
Working Timings: 9 AM - 7 PM, 6 days a week.
Key responsibilities:
1. Legal Research: Conducting legal research using various sources such as statutes, regulations, case law, and legal articles to support counsels in case preparation.
2. Court appearance: In case of counsel s non-availability, appear in court hearings as per counsel s instructions.
3. Drafting Legal Documents: Assisting in drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, affidavits, and briefs under the supervision of counsels. Reviewing and formatting drafts prepared by interns.
4. Case Management: Organizing and managing case files, documents, and evidence for trials, hearings, and meetings.
5. Client Communication: Interacting with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and schedule appointments under counsel guidance.
6. Document Review: Reviewing and summarizing documents, including discovery documents, contracts, and correspondence relevant to cases.
7. Assisting in Trial Preparation: Helping counsels prepare for trials by organizing exhibits, preparing witness files, and drafting trial documents.
8. Administrative Tasks: Performing administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and handling correspondence.
9. Legal Billing: Assisting with billing clients for legal services rendered, including preparing invoices and tracking billable hours.
10. Legal Compliance: Ensuring compliance with court rules, regulations, and deadlines related to filings and submissions.
11. Technology and Database Management: Using legal software and databases to manage case information, documents, and research materials effectively.
