We are seeking a passionate and organized event coordinator to join our team. The event coordinator will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and evaluating events in educational settings. This dynamic position requires a multi-talented individual who can create engaging presentations, manage social media accounts, craft compelling content, and gather feedback on program effectiveness.
Key responsibilities:
1. Event planning and execution: Plan and coordinate educational events in schools, ensuring all logistics are in place. Attend events to oversee their successful execution, troubleshoot issues, and represent our organization effectively. Collaborate with schools, vendors, and volunteers to ensure seamless event operations
2. Content creation: Develop and design engaging PowerPoint presentations for events and workshops. Create informative and visually appealing materials to support presentations. Write and edit content for various platforms, including website, social media, and marketing materials
3. Social media management: Manage and maintain our organization's social media presence across multiple platforms. Create and curate engaging and shareable content. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media
4. Data collection and analysis: Gather feedback and testimonials from schools and attendees to assess program effectiveness. Maintain records of event attendance, participant feedback, and other relevant data. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field (preferred)
2. Proven experience in event planning and coordination
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Graphics software like Canva, and other presentation software
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
5. Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation
6. Excellent organizational and time management abilities
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Willingness to travel and attend events in school settings
Additional skills (preferred):
1. Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools)
2. Basic video editing skills
3. Knowledge of educational programs and initiatives
4. Experience with data collection and analysis tools
